Hardy Perennial.
A compact yellow eyed daisy with bright pink petals. Early flowering, great for adding early colour in the grey of Spring. Ideal for rockeries and the front of sunny beds and borders. Also great in containers.
Sow seeds into a tray of good quality compost and lightly cover. Water lightly and place in a bright place where the temperature will not fluctuate. Seeds will benefit from a cold spell in wet compost to help break their dormancy but must be protected from frost. They can be placed in cold frames outdoors or a sheltered porch. Germination can take 6 - 12 weeks.
Once the seedlings are 7-10cm tall they can be hardened off by placing outdoors during the day and bringing them back indoors at night. Repeat for 7 days. Transplant seedlings 30cm apart where they are to grow on.
Seeds can be sown direct outdoors where they are to grow once acclimatised.
Remove faded blooms to prolong flowering and cut back in August to maintain compact shape.
