Lupin Colour Mixture
Hardy Perennial
This mixture of Lupins will provide a display of strong coloured flowering spikes. This spectacular mixture is sure to add height, character and interest to the borders in your garden.

Sow Indoors: February - June
Transplant: May
Flowers: June - July

Soak seeds overnight before sowing, this will soften the shell and help speed germination.
Sow seeds into a tray of good quality compost and lightly cover. Place tray into a heated propagator or clear bag in a warm sunny position. Germination 18.21 days.
Once seedlings emerge, they can be transplanted into individual pots and should be kept warm. When the risk of frost has passed, harden plants off by placing outdoors during the day and bringing them back indoors at night. Repeat for 7 days. Transplant 30 cm apart where they are to grow on.

Aquilegia Double Mixture
Hardy Perennial
This double mixture of aquilegia or columbine are an absolute essential for cottage gardens. A colourful mixture of bi-coloured blooms in shades of lilac, creamy white, red and yellow. A great mixture to naturalise a border or fill your pots with early colour.

Sow Indoors: February - April
Transplant: April - May
Flowers: May - July

Sow Indoors
Sow seeds evenly into a tray of good quality compost and lightly cover. Position the tray in a warm sunny location and keep the compost damp to the touch but not wet. Germination approx. 21 days.
Once seedlings emerge, turn the tray regularly to prevent plants from growing towards the sun. Once the risk of frost has passed, plants can be moved outdoors. Harden off by placing plants outdoors during the day and bringing them back indoors at night. Repeat this for 14 - 21 days to acclimatise the plants. Plants can then be transplanted outdoors.
Aquilegia prefer a partially shaded are in fertile moist well drained soil.
