Hardy Annual
A traditional favourite producing large flowers in a bright mixture of colours. A lovely addition to any bed, border or patio container. Also, ideal as cut flowers to bring a touch of summer indoors.
Sow Outdoors: March - June or September (for early flowers the following year)

Direct Sow
Poppies prefer to be in well-drained soil and a sunny position. Sow seeds into fine, warm soil direct outdoors where they are to flower at a depth of 6mm. Always sow seeds after all risk of frost has passed and the ground is warm and moist. Germination 14-21 days.
Thin seedlings as they start to emerge to 23cm apart and remove competing weeds during growth. Sow seeds in September for early flowers the following year.
