Radish Mixture
Hardy Annuals
An attractive mixture of pink, red and white radish which is weather resistant. This peppery root will provide a splash of colour and a spicy taste to salads and sandwiches.

Sow Outdoors: February - August
Harvest: April - October

Sow Outdoors
Seeds can be sown directly outdoors where they are to grow. Sow seeds thinly in 2cm deep drills 20 cm apart and water well. Germination 14-21 days. Once the seedling is large enough to handle, thin plants 15cm apart. Water well before lifting to loosen the soil. Radish can be harvested 3-4 weeks from sowing. Regular sowings every 4 weeks will ensure and regular fresh supply.
Growing height: 15cm

Chilli Anaheim
Half-hardy Annual
Anaheim is a moderately hot chilli producing a high yield of long, sweet peppers. Ideal as a garnish and added to salads, this underrated variety is great for adding that chilli pepper flavour without the burn.
Anaheim peppers score 2,500 on the Scoville Heat scale.

Sow Indoors: March - April
Transplant: May - June
Harvest: July - October

Sow seeds into trays of good quality compost and lightly cover. Place the tray into a heated propagator or clear bag in a warm sunny position. Chilli seeds need to be grown in heat, a warm greenhouse or conservatory is ideal. Germination should take between 10-21 days. Once seedlings have 3 true leaves they can be transplanted into individual containers and should be kept warm.
If plants are to be transferred outdoors, they should be hardened off by placing them outdoors during the day and bringing them back indoors at night. This should be repeated for 7-10 days. Plants should be spaced 30cm apart and be in a warm sheltered position.
Anaheim peppers are generally harvested when green but can be left to turn red. Harvest when the fruit is firm.
